Hey, Mamas! This is not an April Fool's joke. We repeat—not a joke at all! However, we are laughing—giggling with glee may be a more apt description—as we share this news with our little community.

Many of you know that we have been operating under the 4HIM umbrella since our inception. Our partnership has provided a tremendous mentoring experience, as well as the added benefit of support regarding the financial piece of our projects.

We knew when we started Somebody’s Mama that the time would come when we would feel confident to do it “on our own,” and that time is now. We’re flying out of the nest!

Last week, we received the official documentation that our 501(c)3 status has been approved. What this means in regular people speak is that we accept donations directly to our organization without linking through 4HIM.

Other than that minor change to the business details, we will continue to operate at the same Mama time, on same Mama channel by changing the lives of women across the globe with your help!

Here are a couple of things we want to pass on to you:

  1. Have a look at our new giving page, and please let us know if you have any questions or see anything that needs improvement. (While you’re there, feel free to leave a donation…wink wink.)
  2. Here is a handy dandy QR code that you can incorporate into your web page or blog when you’re asking your Love Club friends to donate. Scan and donate!

We have had a working board of trustees from the beginning, and we are in the process of formally building our board of trustees and advisors from a handful of people in our community. Look for info about these superstars who will lead us with love!

This may not seem like a big deal to many of you, but for us, it’s monumental. We have the confidence to step out in faith with this venture because we have had such fierce and unwavering support from YOU.

Thank you for all you’ve done and for all you will do in the future. We’re turning ideas into action, one Mama at a time.

Much, much Mama love,

Leia and Erika
